Spike Gillespie, come on down!

I’m delighted to introduce Spike Gillespie, LaunchPad’s in-house reporter. She’ll be tracking down coworking news and profiling coworkers all over the city. All over the globe, if things go particularly well.

Gillespie is the author of four books and countless magazine articles. Her work has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, National Geographic Traveler, Smithsonian, Playboy, GQ, just about every Texas publication you can think of, and many, many other places.

Gillespie has been writing online since 1995 when she was Little Blogger on the World Wide Prairie for Prodigy Services, way back when Prodigy was bigger than AOL. (Prodigy? AOL? Whatchoo talkin’ bout, Willis?) Her web writings have appeared at, among other places: Word.com (the original online magazine), Nerve.com, Salon.com, Tripod.com, Austinmama.com and Oxygen.com.
